  8. Announcing the release of Harvest C 1.2

  10. I am uploading Harvest C 1.2 today to mac.archive and another
  11. place or two.  Feel free to propagate it far and wide.

  13. This release includes full source code.  Please read all the
  14. README documents and the like carefully.

  18. The major direction of future plans for Harvest C is to use it as
  19. support for a port of GNU CC 2.x.  A team of volunteers has been
  20. organized as part of TopSoft, Inc. to manage this effort.  Your
  21. support and assistance is welcome.  A mailing list has been established
  22. for communication within the team.  Send mail to tc-request@ugcs.caltech.edu

  25. The plan is to port GNU CC 2.x to the Macintosh, resulting in an
  26. integrated application similar to Harvest C is now (ie somewhat like
  27. THINK C without a built-in editor).  The linker,assembler and various
  28. other parts of Harvest C will be necessary for the port, as GCC lacks
  29. these extremely-Mac-specific items.
